WHAT ARE THE BASICS OF IP VERSION 6?

The main reason to shift from ipv4 to ipv6 is lies in small space of ipv4. One can say that it has 2^96 times the space of Internet protocol version 4.  It has overall 2^128 number of addresses. So no person shall be able to consume too much addresses in the world. There are three major kinds of addresses in it which includes unicast, any cast and multicast. Some of the major changes were also there related to ICMPV6. Moreover, It is very important how shall they transition from ipv4 to IPV6.

Now world is moving towards IT industry. Every sector has dedicated a specific department for this industry. In this scenario the number of devices are increasing day by day. Every device use a logical address to connect to the internet. This address is called as Internet Protocol Address. First of all they were using its version 4. However this version had limited number of IP addresses. They had also applied the technique of sub netting to save the addresses. However it did not work well. So scientist decided to shift from version 4 to version 6. IP Version 6 had 2^128 addresses in it. They are very high in number that one can not count them properly. Now there are three major kinds of addresses in IP Version 6. They include Unicast, any cast and multicast. Unicast sends and receives the packets from one device to another.  In the case of any cast, it happens when multiple computers share address and packet is sent to the most reachable device. In case of multicast packet is sent to the group of computers in this regard. It is very important to tell that there is change in ICMP version 6. Now it is very important to tell how they shall shift from version 4 to version 6 as most of the devices in the world use version 4. In this scenario, two major strategies are important. One is dual stack and other is tunneling. In case of tunneling ipv6 will go through a tunnel where it will find and ipv4 addresses in the way. On the other hand all devices should use both version of addresses for secure purposes.

In a nut shell, It can be said that IP Version 6 has become inevitable for the world for the purpose of size and security. There are three major kinds of it and dual stacking and tunneling can be used to convert from one to another.
