HOW DOES A CYBER SPACE BECOME A BOON OR A BANE?

One is living in a cyber space which is defined as conceptual electronic space without having any boundaries. According to recent PEW research, 93% American adults  use internet. Now one can use it for good and bad purposes. Its advantages lie in marketing, socializing, innovation, education, tourism and communication. On the other hand its disadvantages include online harassment, hacking, and less time spent with families. Now this world provides advantages and disadvantages to people. One can not ignore IP Version 6 or Internet protocol version 4 in internet technology.

According to different sources of internet which are present here different marketing companies use the information of people and know their interests. They actually take email addresses and phone numbers of people from online platforms. According to recent research global ecommerce has jumped to 26.7 trillion dollars. They actually make small messages and electronic mails and send them to interested customers. Normally every social media platform asks for one's interests while joining it. Internet provides this facility through which people update their status. Through this process their friends and families know about their views and personal life. Basically it provides window to the world. In this regard, Facebook, YouTube and twitter have revolutionized the world. It is a place where they can grab attention of the people. Twitter gives the opportunity to different platforms that they can share their important news on social this platform. Cellular phones have added to this thing, According to recent report of world bank, 6.319 billion people are mobile subscribers. Internet and social media platform provides this opportunity that people can educate each other. For this purpose videos and written material are used. The concept of distance learning and virtual learning have made this thing easier. People can fall back upon these platforms for education. In the time covid 19, people were having a lot of trouble in this regard. According to world economic form, 1.2 billion children were out of school in pandemic. Internet world has provided people to innovate the software market. Now a days it is an emerging market and people are facilitating each other through the use of software development. In case of tourism people show the beauty of the world through depicting it on YouTube. They cover different aspects of tourism and these aspects include expenditure, living facilities and beauty of that area. According to world economic form, between 2016 and 2025 digitalization in aviation, travel and tourism is expected to create 305billion dollar industry. Internet has reduced the distances. Voice over internet protocol and instant messages are the examples of it. Now one can make calls using internet technologies. What Sapp, Skype and telegram have given this opportunity to make calls, share pictures and send messages. According Meta, 2 billion what Sapp users are there. Moreover these platforms are free of cost and one can use them with having any problem. The bane part includes the stealing of information about the people and then ask for a lot of money from them. This has become the biggest problem in this regard. Recently Plex hacking serves the purpose in this regard. It is a platform which is used by 20 million people.  In another research of PEW center 4 in 10 Americans face online harassment. People are living in a virtual world. Now the new generation spends a lot of time on social media rather than with the families. Due to this reason various diseases are also emerging.

As a result one can say that internet provides both aspects however one should consider the positive one.
